What People's Say About Place

This was our first experience with a Velvet Taco, and the young man that helped us was extremely helpful. He made suggestions for modifications that we would not have known to our tacos when we stated that spicy was not our thing. The meal itself was fantastic, full of flavor, and very enjoyable. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the red velvet cake was a little dry. I would definitely eat here again, just skipping a dessert (our tastes, not their fault).

Stephanie’s the best amazing food! I loved every minute of eating here. I will recommend it to every single person I ever meet. I would do anything to eat this food every meal of my life!!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA. AMAZING

Huge shoutout to Brittany and store manager Danielle at Velvet Taco! I’m vegan, and instead of the usual “don't have much" they took the time to walk me through all the options, explained what would work best, and helped me build something I actually loved. The experience felt genuinely personal and thoughtful, not rushed or transactional at all. What really stood out was how much that kind of care matters..little moments like this honestly make your day. When people go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and understood, it sets the tone for a great day, and that’s exactly what Brittany and Danielle did. Super friendly, super knowledgeable, and just great energy all around. Danielle is 1000% the best manager anyone could ask for. If corporate is actually reading these reviews, just know that you can never lose her and maybe even have other locations get trained by her. Easily one of my best Velvet Taco experiences. I’d absolutely come back anytime I’m passing by… even if it’s just to say hi.

Stephanie was super nice. Helped me decide what to get. And had such a vibrant spirit. The atmosphere was great. Food was amazing. I’ll be coming back!

We went to Velvet Taco in Waco for the first time. The atmosphere was nice and clean with options to sit outside. We ordered the combo that comes with two tacos a side and a drink. There's a variety of options of tacos and sides as well. The food was good but not great. We feel that it was a little over priced but wouldn't mind trying some of the other menu options again in the future.

Their food is amazing!! Their tacos are not like regular Mexican food truck taco rather they came up with their own variations in taste. The have so many options from meats, veggies and fishes that you will easily find something that fits your tastes. I am not a big fan of tofu but their “Nashville hot tofu” was something I will get again !! We have tried several items out of which I would recommend Mexi Cali shrimp, sweet chile shrimp and Nashville hoy tofu. They serve the tacos in a taco holder tray which adds extra ease to handle it. Environment is good and they have plenty of parking spots.

An ok addition for lunch but not at all authentic if that's what you're looking for. The service was fast enough but the inside eating area is kind of small with only about 9 four person tables. The outside area isn't much better as it's only half covered, and the tall chairs are hard to get in and out of. Portions were pretty good.

Our first time at this restaurant Family Birthday 5 in our gathering. Our food came out one by one. So we really didn't all get to eat at the same time.Mix up on a couple of tacos . We ordered at the counter for a total of $65 ... Plus a $10.81 tip We thought they would bring food out No, the cashier called each order out for us to pickup up. So why was a suggested tip added to my order/ ticket .Overall the food was good, I just don't care for cold food. Not eating at the same time together. Maybe I should have looked at reviews. Only our experience on Monday evening with no people at the time of ordering ⭐⭐⭐
